It’s official: Jose Baez withdraws as Casey Anthony’s lead attorney
Jose Baez has officially withdrawn from Casey Anthony’s defense team, online clerk’s records show.
According to the Orange County Clerk of Courts, Baez’s notice of withdrawal was filed Tuesday, weeks after reports about his deteriorating relationship with Anthony first surfaced.
On the Clerk of Courts website, Baez’s name, still listed in the “Lead Attorneys” category, has been crossed out. No one else was listed on the site as of Tuesday afternoon.
Baez famously represented Anthony, 25, in her high-profile murder trial. She was acquitted in July of all major charges in the 2008 death of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Marie.
Anthony is currently serving a probation term for check fraud and appealing convictions for lying to law enforcement. Her location while on probation is being withheld for her safety.
Baez still faces a pair of Florida Bar complaints stemming from the case, one of which involves his failure to share discovery information with the prosection as the trial loomed.
Though it was just made official, Baez’s exit was reported more than a month agao. Co-counsel J. Cheney Mason later told In Session Baez was off the team the day Anthony was sentenced

Isn’t this a RIOT? The biggest ***** in FL saying she was a virgin, and RAPED and THAT’S HOW she became PREGNANT! Ummmm which time? Ms THANG didn’t HAVE to be raped. (See tune sign off at the bottom). GIVE US a BREAK! I am so weary of being insulted by their impossible “stories”.
This insane outrage though, is par for the course for all Anthony’s. I believe that is WHY they are HATED so MUCH!!

To All of the responsers to my posts. I really wish I hadn’t of deleted all of my links now. I went through my Bookmarked section the week after the trial and did that because they were taking up lots of space. It will take some time to find them again. but it was my understanding that George was cleared of the microencongial ( don’t know how to spell that word obviously.) DNA that comes from the mother. But Caylee didn’t have enough soft tissue, I believe it was, to test conclusively that would eliminate the fathers DNA. They could only do what they had to work with. I don’t believe that they would or be able to say if George was or not because of the confidentiality Medical Laws anyway. The courts know, LE knows, the judge knows and George knows, I am sure one way or another, but unless the court has let it go, the paper with the results on it is probably sealed by the courts.

Peggy, Hi back!! I didn’t come to my almost conclusion over night, it has been lots of reading transcripts, re watching the trial, etc. LIttle by little. When I catch something that makes sense to me, it usually connects to something else that didn’t make sense the other way, and with each passing day, the conclusion is becoming stronger. I have accumulated so many pages of notes, it has filled up a Composition notebook half way. Casey is in my mind by no means an innocent person. She and the whole family are sure guilty of many things. I am only seeing George as the murderer of little Caylee and being set up by the parents for reasons of paternity by George and $$$$$. In a murder trial you can always follow the money and find your motive. George and Cindy are the only ones to have been able to bask in the money with deals, selling of picture, appearances etc. Who jumped up and practically ran out of the courtroom almost mad when the sentence came down. George and Cindy. They had a 23 million dollar book deal on the table IF she was convicted. No one wants to read a book about a NOT GUILTY verdict. That went poof. I respect any one else thinking and am not trying to change any one else’s mind, just trying to post, what IF? What if we are wrong on the murder charges? The real killer is living the good life and more. All they lost was a daughter and granddaughter that they were incapable of loving anyway.

I have to agree with the person that said that all attorneys spent a lot of their own money on the trial. I think that Mason was able to absorb the expenses far better than Baez! He had no money to start with and was flying by the seat of his pants as far as expenses go. And altho he won an aquittal, I think it ruined him financially.
There are no state funds helping KC. The minute she drove off the jail property that evening, she was on her own. Of course, if she felt threatened and called 911, as with any citizen, LE would respond. If she has body guards, they are being funded by the private sector. And may I opine about that? From reports out (true or not) they are very inept body guards. A would be “killer” gets close enuff to put a post it on KC’s front door? I think I would take my chances with a pitt bull and a shot gun rather to employ those folks. LOL
