Joran Van Der Sloot Pleads Guilty To Murder
FOX NEWS: LIMA, Peru — Joran van der Sloot will be sentenced on Friday, after pleading guilty today to the murder in 2010 of a Peruvian woman he had met at a casino in Lima.
The murder took place exactly five years, to the day, after the disappearance of American teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
Van der Sloot remains the main suspect in that case.
In court today in Peru, he said he is “truly sorry” for the killing of Stephany Flores. He said he had “wanted from the first moment to confess sincerely” to the killing. His lawyer told the court that van der Sloot killed Flores as a result of “extreme psychological trauma” he had suffered from the fallout over the Holloway case.
Van der Sloot faces a possible 30 years in prison in the killing, though the guilty plea was aimed at winning a lighter sentence. The defense had claimed the killing was manslaughter, which carries a minimum sentence of five years.
In a confession, he had said he killed her in a fit of rage after she discovered on his laptop that he’d been linked to the Holloway disappearance.
But prosecutors said he killed her to rob her after learning she had won money at the casino where they met.

I “sincerely” believe he plead guilty to save his own @##!
This plea is a carefully orchestrated move to assure that his time spent in jail is at the bare minimum!
I “sincerely” believe he murdered Natalee and I “sincerely” believe he has murdered others but has just never been caught!
he is a cold calculated murderer that given the opportunity I have no doubt he can and will murder again!
I hope that they give him 30 years. It wouldn’t be safe to ever let him loose.

This morning on the Today Show, a Peruvian legal analyst said if this scu gets 30 years, he will likely spend only 7 – 8 years in jail because of the overcrowding. 7 or 8 years for murdering someone? Now that’s a CRIME in and of itself!
He needs LIFE,,,,,,period………… No ONE will be safe with him out of jail. Makes me sick… and I dont think he will be out in 7 years NOPE,,,,

He is not taking responsibility he is simply saving his own behind from serving 30 years!
I give him zero credit for his admission. . . he is a manipulator and a serial killer!
I watched him giving his “sincere” confession. There was not one shred of sincerity in it. Even as he spoke, he couldn’t keep himself from smirking. Just another one of these narcissitic psychopaths with no regard for anything but himself.
Shut the door and throw the key amay!
Let’s hope he does 30 yrs then gets extradited ti the US to do 30 more.
I really hope this helps the Holloway’s begin to heal. So sad that Stephanie and her family had to become victims as well. He should have been put away in Aruba.
