Misty: ‘There’s Nothing To Break Me On’
ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — In the latest round of jailhouse video released by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, a more animated Misty Cummings appears frustrated with investigators.
Cummings, the last person to see missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings, talks with her mother, Lisa Croslin, in one of the calls. She is currently being held in jail on $1.35 million bond on drug trafficking charges.
Misty: If they give me 20 years in prison it’ll be OK because you guys will come see me. I’ll get out and everything will be fine. I’m not scared.
Lisa: You’ll be old and gray like me.
Misty: I don’t care because they’re not going to put me away for something I didn’t do. And I didn’t have anything to do with Haleigh. And if I knew who did, I would tell them. I’ve told them everything I can tell them and they need to leave me alone about that.
In a visit with her family earlier this month, Cummings talks freely about her plight in jail and Haleigh, who’s now been missing for one year.

Lisa: As soon as they find out what happened to Haleigh, everything will be different.
Misty: I know.
Lisa: I can’t believe they still believe, you know. It’s crazy.
Misty: It’s ridiculous, because they got my bond set so high just because of that and it’s not fair. This has nothing to do with it.
Lisa: I know.
Misty: That’s what they think I’m going to break. There’s nothing to break me on, so they need to leave me alone.
Hank Croslin Sr., Misty Cummings’ father, also enters the conversation.
Hank: We just need to find Haleigh.
Misty: I know.
Hank: That’s what we need to do.
Misty: I know.
Hank: If we can find Haleigh, it would be better for everybody.
Misty: I know. I’ve been, I sit and wonder every day, thinking, just trying to go back and think if I missed anything. I do. Every day. And it’s just not, dad, there’s nothing. I’m telling you. It’s hard.
Misty: God’s going to bring Haleigh home. God’s going to bring Haleigh home.
Lisa: That’s right.
The conversation later turned to the intense media coverage of her case.
Lisa: I think Mrs. Nancy Grace needs to keep her mouth shut until she knows her facts.
Lisa: That’s right. I don’t blame you at all. I mean they need to give you a nationwide apology.
Misty: They’re not going to put me down no more. I’m tired of it. I’m going to start standing up for myself.
Lisa: That’s what you need to do right there.
Lisa: Do you ever get to watch Nancy Grace?
Misty: No, we don’t. I’m glad.
Lisa: Well, yours and Chelsea’s and everybody’s phone calls are going to be on there tonight.
Misty: Oh, good.
Lisa: I know. This is all crazy.
Misty: Well, whenever I talk to Chelsea here or Timmy or whenever, I’ll try to call them later so I can see what’s said or whatever

Final Connection To Haleigh Cummings Leaves Neighborhood
SATSUMA, Fla. — Later Wednesday, relatives of Haleigh Cummings will hold a candlelight vigil in the Satsuma neighborhood where she vanished a year ago.
But after the ceremony, there will be no one related to Haleigh living in the neighborhood. The final connection to the family moved out last weekend.
Ronald Cummings lived in a trailer with his girlfriend, Misty, a year ago when the girl disappeared. Deputies made the trailer off-limits for weeks, and her family never moved back into the home in the Satsuma neighborhood near Highway 17.
Misty’s brother, Tommy Croslin, and her father, Hank Croslin Sr., lived about 100 yards away in the same neighborhood. But neighbors say Hank Croslin Sr. moved out last Saturday, leaving behind some broken furniture and toys on the road. The seven neighbors First Coast News talked to Tuesday said they were glad all the relatives are gone.
“They were a nuisance to the neighborhood,” said neighbor Stephanie Santos. “They were very scary to the kids.”Several other neighbors didn’t want to be named or talk on camera.Croslin Sr. was arrested last November and charged with doctor shopping, or getting the same prescription medication from several different doctors. He is out of jail on bond.
Tommy Croslin, Misty Croslin and Ronald Cummings are still in jail on drug charges. A Putnam County Sheriff’s Office spokesman says their drug case is not connected to Croslin Sr.’s case.
“If they were into their own issues and all that, the girl doesn’t have to be a victim,” said Gerald Santos. “It’s just a terrible tragedy.”
Haleigh Cummings hasn’t been seen since she went to bed at her father’s home on Green Lane in Satsuma on the night of February 9. Early the next morning, Misty Croslin, Ronald Cumming’s girlfriend at the time, called 911 to report Haleigh missing.
Investigators believe foul play is involved in Haleigh’s disappearance. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office believes it is unlikely a stranger is involved. Authorities believe someone who knows Ronald or Misty had something to do with Haleigh’s disappearance.

Family, Friends Gather for Haleigh Cummings Vigil
SATSUMA, Fla. — Family and friends, along with the Justice Coalition, have gathered in Satsuma for a public candlelight vigil to remember Haleigh Cummings. The vigil began at 6 p.m. in the same neighborhood she vanished from one year ago.
At the vigil, which is at the corner of Tyler Street and Monroe Avenue, the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni will be set up to offer free child identification kits. Included in the kits is everything you need to take inkless fingerprints, cards for detailing a child’s physical description, a place to keep a recent photo and an easy to use swab to take and store a small DNA sample.

I watched some of the jailhouse video calls last night and this girl is clueless as to the seriousness of the matter. Where is Haleigh?
While true, being the brother of the last known person to see Haleigh puts you under the microscope (to borrow George’s words). It does not however, cause you to traffic in narcotics! Hank need only look in the mirror to find the person to blame!
What a bunch of trash these people are! Haleigh is missing and her daddy, step momma and uncle are out getting loaded and peddling dope!

LE needs to keep them all locked up and really put the pressure on to find Haleigh or her remains, sadly I believe it will be the latter!

Last night ,I listened to the tapes that Ann-Tx. had given links to,and in a way it was sad, when Misty,stated she was trying to learn to read. This family, shows me, how the drug world can invade an entire family sometimes. Have never heard so many “love yous”, or the “bomb word”. I was waiting for mommy to fail the test,i knew she didnt go clean,by her self,no rehab. She has no excuse,she had to buy the drugs-oh yes it was only one tablet-right. They need to give her hair drug test, it picks up the tiniest trace.It takes 3 days for loitabs to get out the system.There is a over the counter,mixture.At health food stores,that will flush your system, before a urine test. after drinking the mixture it will not pick up a drug,or may get a small trace,its used for pot,crack,as well as narcotics.Marie ,defends her daughter,an makes excuses. Now if Ron does it hes bad-if Misty does it shes bad-but if Crystal does it, she just slipped,an needs to be uplifted. Now she had a yr,to get clean,an now she has the son,she so claimed she longed for.But a pill popper doesnt get clean,unless they want to.Or go to rehab,an change friends.She bought them,or someone illegaly gave them to her out of their bottle.Was she crusing the streets,with the children buying pills,or was granny keeping them. This is where the Judge thought Ronjr should be, an DCS ,may be looking the other way again!!!! we will see. Now MG excuse is she lost heR children twice,an may never see one again, well Ron lost 2 also,an he was doing drugs also. So its ok,for one-but not the other.one parent hurts,more than the other–NOT SO!!

If you plan on watching the Super Bowl, you might want to record Geraldo.
This should be a good interview. If you recall, Geraldo was “escorted” off of the Cummings’ property (early in the case) when he confronted Ronald about drug use.
Also, per news media, there is more to the tape of that incident that Fox has not shown. Maybe tonight Geraldo might show the rest of the tape. We’ll have to wait and see!
If “Crystal” failed her drug test they need to take that baby out of that home now and not put him back. I can’t believe with everything that has happened in this case and she fails and they leave that little “boy” in that house. Obviousely she is like the rest and loves the drugs more than her child. Are we going to wait until something happens to him too before they get him out of this mess. This child is innocent and doesn’t deserve any of this crap. Of course he is scared to be away from “Crystal” he is probably scared to be away from anyone he is use to being around becase he doesn’t know what is going to happen next.

Re your comment from the Super Bowl thread: Yes, I think it is so sad about Misty’s childhood. She was born into a drug addicted family. Lisa, her mother, is only 40 and she looks so much older. Drugs have taken a toll on her . . . big time!
Also, some new info came out about Teresa Neves. I did not know Annette Sykes had guardianship of Ronald since he was 3. I wonder what went on with Teresa in the early years that warranted Sykes getting guardianship. Interesting info that Sykes shared with the media!
I set my DVD last night to record Geraldo tonight. I bet Geraldo is waiting for “pay back”.
Do you remember when Ron, his dad, Sykes, Teresa and the whole clan ran Geraldo off of their property when Geraldo confronted Ron about drugs and being an informant?

Ann - I had forgotten the scuffle that Geraldo got into with Ronald & his mother. That was a scary scene. Up until that point they seemed somewhat nice - but that changed it for me when I saw they were rough people too. This whole story is tragic.
Is the other brother that lives out east any better than the rest of them? Is that the one she calls Bubba on the jail house tapes? I truly think she is scared but does not comprehend the seriousness of her crimes. She still has a 6th graders mind when it comes to the real world. I certainly hope Padilla does not bond her out until she does give that info she insinuates she has. On the other hand I have thought that she really does not remember anything from that night if she had been drugging herself up for three days. Didnt some Dr. on NG say that was possible?

Per Mark NeJame, he stated on the Nancy Grace show that bonding Misty out by Padella was not going to happen. Also, Robert Fields, Misty’ attorney, is opposed to anyone bailing Misty out except him.
In the tapes Misty talks about Cobra and Padilla bailing her out.
Timmy Croslin has had his share of trouble with LE also. He and Chelsea (his wife)moved from Satsuma. In an article way back when, they stated there were better welfare opportunities up north. I think it was in the interview with Chelsea shortly after they moved.
Personally I think it would be a mistake again to bail any of them out, let the druggies rot there. Maybe one will break and tell the truth.
I believe Tommys wife was expecting a baby also at the time they moved. Well my guess that state paid the bill for them. And back to Satsume untill she is expecting another child. What a sad way to live your life, learn to pay for your own kids or stop producing.

Those drying out,an on opiats do have malfunction,in their brain.As well as memory loss,temporay memory loss.It takes a while to regain full function,an clear ones head after withdrawl.Now i know the effects of medication.I have been paced on many different onesTrying to regulate pain in my body..They do have side effects. Deep sleeping, as well as confusion.An is real bad,when withdrawing. I pray Haliegh is found,Ron jr, finds a safe person with out drugs in their system to care for him.An all the children there with parents under this stronghold,of abusing drugs,(((addiction))) the children will find safe homes,to not repeat history. Or parents are offered rehab,an counseling,mandatory,with repeat drug testing. Misty,an Tommy had a bad upbringing, an may have only known the drug lifestyle. Good Morning/Good Afternoon! ** I found this article very depressing! These two children were born to horrible parents and the grandparents weren’t any better. I have been lucky to not be around trash like this in my life - I knew there was something with that would come out of Misty’s past and here it is. Duh! I should of known she dropped out of school in elementary. She doesn’t know what 10% is out of $1,350,000.

When their daughter was in the sixth grade, they were living in Flagler County. “I’d send her to the bus stop,” her mother, Lisa Croslin, said. “She’d never get on the bus. If it was a day she wanted to go, she’d go. If it was a day she didn’t want to go, she would hide.” “She can’t read,” her father said. “She was behind in class just like all of us.” Reading disabilities run in the family, he said. “I can’t read at all,” he said.
At about 15, Misty bought a bus ticket under a false name and moved to New Jersey with a boyfriend. After several months and with the help of a social worker, she was found and brought home. About that time, the Croslins moved to Putnam.
Her father said she began hanging out with Kristina “Nay Nay” Prevatt and Amber Brooks, who is the mother of Cummings’ other son. Both Prevatt and Brooks have drug arrest histories. The weekend before Haleigh disappeared, Misty was with Prevatt. “That’s where all the trouble started, hanging around Nay Nay and Amber,” her father said.
He said he couldn’t convince her to distance herself from the new crowd. Misty was more trouble than the Croslins’ two sons, he said. “She was the wildest one,” he said. “She was.”
On Feb. 9, the night after Croslin returned to Cummings’ mobile home from the weekend of partying, Sykes dropped by. She said she was upset that Croslin had gone off and left her grandson without anyone to watch over the two kids. “I was mad because Ronald let her come back,” she said. “But it’s his house. There wasn’t nothing I could do about it other than be mad.” By the next morning, Haleigh was gone.

What low lifes! Whining to get out of jail so they can score some dope! I pray Haleigh is safe, but we all know what those chances are. The Caylees and Haleighs and Gabriels of this world deserve so much better, but the guilty parties will be judged when it is their time. Amen Pat. Ron is a disgusting human being for letting himself get with some 6th grade drop out and thought his children were safe with Misty when he knew that she did drugs. Well he probably supplied her with them but if you love you children and you don’t have the life style that they deserve perhaps send them to your parents house. Didn’t Ron’s mom abandon him when he was young and his grandparents took care of him? H#ll! Those kids didn’t have a chance any where in his or Crystal’s family.
Curious, I heard Ron was raised by the Grandma, I have not found out why. I do know the Mom had some surgeries but I can not imagine it took that many years to have him gone from her care.

I am going to scream if I have to hear one more word about Michael Jackson and that idiot doctor. All three shows last night (Mike Galanos, JVM, and NG) spent their air time on him. I think the Haleigh Cummings case is THE ONE and is filled with intrigue, we already know that there is no NANNY in the Anthony case and we already know that Cindy and George never have to work again due to the big bloody paychecks they recieve.
I want to hear about Misty, Ron, Haleigh, baby Gabriel and that poor missing mom whose idiot stick husband took his babies camping in freezing weather at midnight to make S’mores. !!!!
