Hey Guys thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Feeling pretty good today. Been really depressed but I hope I can get past that. Go back to Dr. tomorrow for pathology reports and have drain tubes taken out . Will see what treatments are my future. Thank you and to Express for the banner. Geaux Saints!!
Ken I have not posted or read the CD much in the last week so I don’t know what is wrong but I hope nothing serious. As I went to bed last night I was struck by the diverse emotions I was feeling.
On one level I was thrilled and ecstatic for of course our Maw Maw and all of New Orleans on a much needed and deserved victory!
but. . .
I was deeply saddened and hurting for Jan, Cyn and Capt Ken. . . now some might say folks you meet on a blog are in no way friends. . .they are mere figments conversing in the ”ghost” world.
Prior to coming to TCD, I too felt the same way!
However, I have had a change of heart and thought, the folks I have met here may indeed be nameless and for the most part faceless, so you question how. . how could they be considered a friend?
Then it hit me, I know their hearts. We have conversed on may topics, we don’t always agree but our diverse opinions are what bond us.
We have shared in the joys and the sorrows of each others worlds, have demanded justice for our most precious children, we have laughed and we have cried.
Homemakers to Real Estate Agents, Bus Drivers, Teachers, Unemployed. . makes no difference here . . .
We are bound together by what lives in our hearts, our morals, our beliefs and our quest for truth and justice!
Appearances and economics, education or lack thereof, our past life’s journeys have no bearing on how we are judged here. . . for some like our Thom we have learned and appreciate his great determination, the journey he has taken and his choice to share his experiences to help others. I admire Thom and consider him a friend!
elljay and I share such similar experiences, I love her spirit and admire her perseverance, she is my friend!
observation. . .she’s the boss, she has a wonderful heart, I consider her my friend!
There are many many others I consider friends, people with good hearts speaking out to right wrongs.
Perhaps, the best friends are people you know only through the goodness of their hearts!

I had calls from my son’s last night about the game , of course they were asking if I watched. I informed them that I did and attened a special party with my friends. Then I was asked if I went out and I said no, we had a special party on the blog. That gave them a good chuckle and then I explained we had a special page up for the game that explaind what Mom was doing what hoot that was. They were all excited that the Saints won, we had not discussed who we wanted to win. All I can say about the coaching staff is they had gutts in there calls they made and did a wonderful job getting it done, Yahoo for the Saints.

I have to confess something; for the first time in my whole life I watched a game last night.
I don’t know how it was called, footbal??, but I had to see the Saints and see how they were doing. I saw points on a board and did not know if higher than the other team was good or bad, still have no idee what they were doing with that ball, but the Saints won, and I was part of History. All because of my Caylee Daily friends.

I have a life long friend that is going through hard times right now. Her teen daughter was put in jail last night. I don’t know what for yet.
I want to have some good words to say to my friend, but I am afraid I will offend her.
My friend is very hard headed. But she blames herself for what is happening.
The teen is now driving, and using my friends only vehicle. The teen has already been gotten for somethings found in car, by drug dogs at her school.
And now last night, she was jailed.
My friend forgot her purse in her car, and when she picked it up at the tow yard(330.00)] four hundred in cash was gone from her purse.
So far she has lost 730.00 on this. And she can’t afford it. She works hard to support herself.
She is unable to tell this girl (no) on anything. She is too tired to fight with her about the use of the car, and just caves in.
I understand all of it. I too have been way to good to my son. But I have started saying NO about almost everything. Even keeping the grandkids, because he takes advantage and abuses how long I will watch them. I can’t trust him to pick them up, and three little ones is to hard for me.
What can I say to my friend to help open her ears and eyes, or is this something people have to do alone.

I have been so depressed this last couple of weeks I have drug myself out of bed to function and your words meant a lot to me. Your friend is an enabler!!! Her daughter views her complacency as a weakness and she will exploit her mother for all it’s worth!
As for what to say to your friend. . . it depends on her willingness to listen without making you the villain!
If you believe she will continue to enable her daughter then my advice to you is to let your friend know you are there for her, but you in no way condone her daughters actions!
You can support you friend emotionally but only to a point, her enabling will eventually bring her down and you too if you let it!
I am certainly not an expert. . .but having traveled a similar road I can only hope your friend comes to her senses before it is really too late! She must decide on her own how much is enough!
I would tell her you care and are there for her BUT you can not be a party to her enabling, she is doing more harm than good by enabling!
Does Casey Anthony sound familiar??? She is a classic case of a child gone bad that was enabled to the point of MURDER!

To all who answered my post, I thank you so much. I knew all of you would have the right answers.
My friend is really mad right now, and as of last night, she has put her foot down on some things. The girl’s father picked her up, and she is going back to live with him.
She orginally was living with her father, because that is where she wanted to be.
But when he got tough on her, she cried to “mommy” let me live with you.
Now he father has a big house, three bedrooms, but my friend lives in a one room coverted garage apartment.
But the girl, had the run of the one room apartment, her mother’s car, and new clothes my friend would buy for her. Of course my friend was doing everything for her again.
Ironing her clothes, washing her clothes, making sure she had her lunch for school.
We are talking about a 17 year old girl here.
No one was ironing my clothes when I was 17, but me. I even washed my own clothes.
Lunch, if I wanted one, from home, I made it. Not my mom.
It is ridiculious, and I get pretty up set with my friend. But my friend thinks theses things will make her daughter better. Wrong. A 17 year old will not appreciated that, she expects it.
I get so upset with her.
Good Morning Mart, you are so right. By this mom caving in to her daughters demands and catering to her she did damage! This girl ruled the roost and she knew it! I hope for her sake and for your friends sake the fathers toughness will get through to her!

New problem today.
My husband has RA and everything his doctor has tried is not working.
The Doctor is a good doctor, very good.
But his office staff in plain english “suck”.
I have some real issues with the way things have been handled. His staff is over worked and have to much of a work load. I understand that. One person I think is no longer there because of what happened with my husband, and I finally had to get on the phone and raise “hell” about that person. She just flat out lied about things.
Now believe me, I don’t like being ugly to people, but the only thing that seems to work is that.
Plus threats.
Yesterday, I had to do the same thing, again. My husband has said he might have to change doctors, but really does not want too. Which I understand.
How do I tell this Doctor, who has no ideal what is going on, what I think. His bedside manner is not good. And he is very intimidating, he has a God like manner.
My husband, at first did not like him, but has come around to the guy.
I don’t like the guy myself, but I don’t have too. I do know he is a fine Doctor, knows his stuff about RA. But I can tell you this,our personnel doctor will not cross anything, or do much of anything for my husband, because he knows this RA doctor.
I’m not smart, and I am pretty well outspoken if you make me mad. I hold my tongue, because I have learned that a wise man does that.
But I am really mad about all of this.
How do you stop a God like Doctor in his tracks when he starts to get smart with you?
And I know he will. Help please.
morning mart. wow. you gotta alot of stuff happening. when i have had problems with doctors and their “lovely ill mannered staff” i type a letter, and tell them i am NOT giving my hard earned money to them, to be treated like just another cow herding thru for slaughter. I swtich Doctors. there is a doctor on every street corner these days, when i see, a doctor, the staff is mainly whom you have to deal with, so make sure you like them, before committing to a doctor. same with dentist, and their staff. i have had issues with rude and overbearing staff members, and i am NOT one whom will pay a doctors salary, and his / her staff to be treated rudely.

I understand, how you feel. This RA Doctor is very good. But I think it is mostly his fault.
He has a huge patient load.
He travels to about 4 surrounding cities in the San Antonio area.
They are not rude, just do not complete their work. No follow thru.
Can’t trust them to call back, can’t trust them to refill prescriptions, can’t trust them to find out about Insurance.
And now I just learned that the one person I paid a compliment to never heard a word, because the Office manager has favorites, and the one person that we can count on, never heard one word about it, until I talked to her on the phone.
That really sent me over the edge. I mean I am really mad now. I thought I could trust the office manager and now I know I can’t.

This woman obviously needed help from somebody. 4 children under 3. One 3 year old, 8 month old and infant twins. Way too much for a 31 year old to cope with. Where was the husband, the family, anyone. I am not justifying what she did to her infants but she obviously needed emotional and physical help. Again, it’s always the poor innocent children that suffer for the actions or lack of of the adults in their world. JMO

I see that all are doing a great job posting and keeping the justice for Caylee going. You all are a very kind and wonderful group. I see that fun was had by all on Super bowl thread Sunday night. It has been a week since my surgery and everything is healing nicely. I am doing so much better dealing with it all. I still get tired and it is hard to use my right arm ..but much better. I think WESH might have it wrong. I have read numerous articles from media sources and they all state the home at 1152 Gano was being searched via a search warrant.
It is a home near where Somer Thompson went missing. It is not Somer’s home.
Clay County Sheriff Rick Beseler will have a news conference at 7 p.m. EST regarding developments in Somer’s case.

LE has been working many leads from Day 1. They have kept “things” close to the vest per media articles over the past several weeks.
They were expecting some of the forensic results. Some time ago several articles stated it may take 2 1/2 months for the forensic lab to test the evidence recovered by LE during their initial investigation of the crime areas where evidence was recovered. Maybe they have pertinent results from forensics.

Sometimes media is in a hurry to get the story out there. In my opinion, they need to slow down and get the facts straight before firing off a story.
Remember the big confusion and conflicting stories from major media sources regarding Casey Anthony’s check fraud case (trial date, plea, motions, etc.)?

Well, I see where that Smith woman has been charged. A perfect case where your 15 mins. of fame, came back to bite you.
Some people never learn to keep their mouths shut. You would think if people were smart enough to commit a crime, they would be smart enough to lay low, and not say anything about what they have done. I don’t believe Elizabeth would have said anything about the Smith’s and their underhanded ways, and even if she had, no one would have believed her. But no, Smith had to go National about her involvement with Elizabeth, and get caught.
Both women are drama queens, looking for attention, to the point of doing anything to get it.
WoW its snowing in Myrtle Beach SC. My grand children,an children are outside playing in it!!! we dont get it often so we are so happy.It smowed all the time when i live in Tenn,an bee in a few blizzards traveling.But its so much nicer,when i see my loved ones enjoying it.Yards white,an still comming down strong.Im happy tonight. Jan—How much snow my family wants to know
My husband is a road driver, he goes from San Antonio, to Tyler Tx everyday and turns around and comes back at night.
This morning he left San Antonio, clear and sunny, hit Waco got into snow. He took pictures when he stopped of all the snow, around Tyler about 1 foot, maybe more, came back to 58 degrees in San Antonio.
Texas is so big, you have have two different types of weather at the same time. He said there was 28 degrees difference from Tyler Tx to San Antonio. Weird to me.
I dont know until i check the weather,but we have a beautiful blanket of it in our yards.Nothing major,unless it snows through the night.I doupt it will,but you never know.Weathers nuts lol.
Its so pretty,i have woods all around.An snow is hanging on the trees as it fell. The air is so fresh,an crisp.I just took my dogs out.They were doing some romping, their first snow.I womder if they see in color/or black,an white.

Mart yur husband sees a lot driving.You also may need to find another place for him to be treated.I went through that last Pain dr i had.The workers made such a mess of that office,when it came to doing things in order.It always kept me upset.An then i quit them over the phone when after the third time they tried to charge me 50,for missing an appt.I never missed one appt in a yr,not one.Then the nurse who i spoke to in quiting them,never revealed to dr,i had stopped.they sent me aletter,an almost didnt release my records.I had called my Lawyer the day i quit,an they did not have my medical records transfered to my new Dr,made me look bad,i was fumming when i went to get records. They have lost many paitents from this.He wont put them on leave,or fire them.AN I CANT TAKE THE UPSET. I have a wonderful dr now,an i like their rules,an they are on the ball.They have many paitents,but no trouble so far. He sure does see many things on the road.
I spoke to my Doctor on Friday, of course he knows the RA doctor my husband sees. I told my doc. that I thought hubby doc. was really good on what he does. But the office staff really sucked.
He told me how to handle my complaint, and it was very wise.
Hubby really does not want to leave this RA doctor, so I will try to work with the Doctor, before I tell him about his office staff. He does have one nurse there that is so good.
She has the three Ps. Prompt, patient, and polite.
All of his staff is over worked, they have to many things to do.
Why in the world would an infusion nurse have to handle the insurance?
I think he does not want to hire more help, so he is really putting to much on the staff.
Nurses should do nurse work, and insurance people should do the insurance.
I just trust one person in the office to handle things on time, and that is the nurse I just spoke about.

Waving at everyone…Jan, we got 5 inches of snow down here in the lower part of the state. Got up early & took lots of pictures since it’s such a rarity around here, lol. It was odd - one minute it was raining yesterday afternoon and the next it was snowing. We have lots of limbs down but luckily did not lose power. Too bad we can’t post pics here. :(
Cyn - Thanks for the update. Glad you are doing well and healing. Please try not to worry. Things will go well, there are so very many women now who undergo treatment and are survivors and you will be one of them.
