Casey Anthony Jail Visits with Baez Show Big Decline
As the case against Casey heats up, you would think Jose Baez’s visits with Casey would increase. More incriminating evidence released, the Death Penalty back on and the check fraud case coming to a head and the attorney who started out visiting at a rate of 13 times a month (November 2008) has dwindled down to 1 visitthat same month of November (2009) a whole year later. Jose Baez’s (Casey’s Attorney) dwindling visits also come with Baez’s lack of passion in his latest media appearances. Something is up - actions speak louder than words.
The graph does indicate an increase in the decline of Baez visits began basically as Andre Lyons became a member of the defense team. After Casey’s so called ‘melt down’ during her December 11th court hearing, it was Andrea Lyons who visited Casey the very next day not Jose Baez. It wasn’t until December 17th that Baez visited with Casey. Additionally, Andrea Lyons hasn’t spend all that much time with Casey Anthony either.

It appears there was a big pow wow on May 27, 2009 with Casey Anthony meeting with Todd Macaluso, Linda Kenny-Baden, Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez. This big meeting lasted almost 3 hours. The meeting came a month after the Death Penalty was put back on the table (April 2009). This is the only time that all the attorneys met together with Casey.
Defense “Private Investigator” visits with Casey
Mortimer Smith, a private investigator for Casey’s defense team, began visiting Casey in June of 2009. He has visited Casey 5 times with his last visit on December 12, 2009. Mortimer Smith is the one who interviewed Texas Equusearch member Joe Jordan who looked for Caylee before her remains were found last December. Jordan searched the same area off Suburban Drive where Caylee’s remains were found, but says he saw nothing.
Visits preparing for Death Penalty Phase of a Trial
The day after Casey’s last court appearance on December 11th, Andrea Lyons and Jeanene Barrett paid a visit to Casey. Jeanene Barret is a Mitigation Specialist who works with Andrea. “”A mitigation specialist assembles the pieces of a client’s life, whether they’re birth records, grade school report cards, Boy Scout memorabilia or prison disciplinary records. A competent mitigation specialist also knows how to talk with a client and their family, sometimes about subjects such as child abuse and drug abuse.”" source They must provide a compelling narrative about a client’s life for an attorney to argue before a jury to get life vs. the death penalty. Jeanene Barrett has visited with Casey a total of 11 times starting in June of 2009.
Linda Baden & Todd Macaluso Visits with Casey Anthony
Linda Kenney-Baden has only visited Casey three times (once in January, March and May). Todd Macaluso has visited Casey a total of 4 times (once in March, once in April and twice in May).
The graph information includes November 2008 to November 2009 due to the fact that Casey was only in jail for 1/2 a month in October 2008 and the report only includes 1/2 of December of 2009.
