Baez: Videos are “used to paint an ugly picture of Casey”
ORLANDO, Fla. — Casey Anthony’s attorney said he will move forward with asking that her check fraud trial be moved and said he wants the jail not to videotape future visits. The check fraud trial is scheduled for January. Anthony is currently in the Orange County jail awaiting a murder trial in connection with the death of her daughter, Caylee.
Prosecutors said surveillance tapes show Anthony passing bad check after check, bleeding her friend’s account dry. Due to pre-trial publicity Jose Baez said he still wants the check fraud trial moved. Defense attorney Richard Hornsby said it’s likely Judge Stan Strickland is waiting as long as he can in case of a possible plea deal.
But Hornsby said he doesn’t expect a plea. Prosecutors want multiple fraud convictions so they can use that against Casey in her murder trial. “They want to be able to impeach Casey Anthony on any statements attributed to her in her murder case,” he said. Baez also said he hopes the defense can persuade Strickland to limit or eliminate videos of Anthony’s jail visits.
“What happened with the other visits was horrible,” Baez said. He said the state’s release of those videos “is used to paint an ugly picture of her.” Hornsby said that argument won’t work.
”Every court is going to say, ‘No, we’re not going to give special treatment just because she happens to be in a high profile case.’ No chance he’s going to win on this particular motion at all,” he said.
Hornsby said it’s not too late for Baez and his team to have the check fraud charges delayed and tried with the murder case. That would eliminate any advantage prosecutors would have in trying this fraud case earlier. SOURCE: WESH NEWS Orlando Florida 6:19 pm EST December 4, 2009
Casey Anthony’s parents to testify at hearing
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Casey Anthony will be back in court Friday December 11 for motion hearings and her parent’s, George and Cindy Anthony, along with their attorney Brad Conway have been subpoenaed to testify.will be back in court Friday December 11 for motion hearings.
Judge Strickland will hear four motions in the State vs. Casey Anthony case beginning at 9:30 a.m.:
Motion to preclude the death penalty procedures
Motion for a protective order prohibiting Orange County Jail from videotaping attorney visits
Motion for a protective order directing Orange County Jail to destroy videos of family visits
Motion to dismiss counts 1,2, 4, 5, 7, 8 10, 11, 13 for violation of double jeopardy clause
Anthony’s lawyers filed the motions saying there isn’t enough information in the murder indictment for Anthony to defend herself so they want it thrown out. They are also trying to get the check fraud case dropped too claiming double jeopardy because she faces several counts of basically the same charge. Prosecutors In Casey Case Shoot Down Defense Motion
ORLANDO, Fla. — Prosecutors in the case against Casey Anthony are trying to shoot down a defense team’s motion, which claims Casey faces too many check fraud charges.
The defense wants some of the charges thrown out on the grounds that Casey shouldn’t face multiple charges for each check she’s accused of stealing from her former best friend and cashing them.
But prosecutors say each charge is a separate crime, with separate evidence, and should stand.

Curious - Kiomarie did say that. Casey would tell her of some big problem and the next day when Kiomarie would ask how things were going, either casey would just shine her on, or deny there had been anything wrong.

One of the radio shows I listen to has a Live Chat during the program.
I have never participated. Some of the comments make me laugh out loud! They are usually brief comments. Sometimes it gets wild and funny because it is moving so fast!
I am so excited about TCD having a Live Chat Room sometimes. During the hearings, I have my TV tuned to InSession (Tru-TV) and record it (in case I have to take a phone call). I also have my computer on a Live Feed (usually WFTV). So, when Tru-TV breaks for a commercial or some of the ladies flap their jaws and throw their 2 cents in, I can watch it on my computer! I have all the bases covered!
If Express has the Chat Room set up this Friday, I will fix it where I can flip back and forth from the Live Feed and make a comment if I want to.
I am like a little kid in a candy store! Excited! LOL

Judge Strickland is using the oldest tactic in the book. Give them enough rope they will hang themselves. Have faith sheeple (OrlandEast) what goes around comes around. Skanko and company are going to have a bus load of attorney’s by the time this nightmare is over. That works out tho, at least they’ll have the bus to throw everyone and anyone under. But then again, I don’t think there’s a bus big enough for that.
Casey Anthony has no remorse for what she has done and has not shown any kind of remorse. The first time we saw any tears was the day in October of 2008 when she first got indicted and was locked up since that day. What happened to her that she has no connection with a child of her own body. That ’s what I am wondering besides all of the slutty controversial stuff that she does.

I agree that Crazee can’t get a “fair” trial, according to the duhfences standards. The facts point to guilty, the circumstancial evidence points to guilty, the forensic evidence points to guilty, the client’s actions point to guilty, the family’s actions point to guilty, the dufence tactics point to guilty…
Where on earth can you find enough jurors that can keep an open mind and ignore the obvious to consider completely. unsubstantiated alternative theories?

Also, I read somewhere that Casey had a false i.d. and that the name on it was Zenaida Gonzales and reading that Amy knew of this too. What secrets does this gang of vultures have to hide besides the drugs and the merry go round of sleeping together or sharing each others so called “ex” boyfriend. Is that normal behaviour with this generation?
