DCF Visits Casey Anthony Home To Investigate Cindy
ORLANDO, Fla. — The state Department of Children and Families confirmed that officials visited George and Cindy Anthony Friday to follow up on a complaint about child care.
The couple’s attorney called the complaint to DCF harassment of the parents of Casey Anthony.
Since Cindy Anthony said she was on some sort of disability, the man who emailed DCF said he wanted officials to see if the couple needed a license to babysit in their home. The man said he began concerned after seeing the Anthonys on a national news program.
On Friday, investigators visited George and Cindy Anthony at their home to see what kind of child care if any they were providing.
DCF’s Carrie Hoeppner said Cindy Anthony was very open with investigators and said she was “helping a friend who was between babysitters and that’s OK.”
Hoeppner said the concerns were unfounded.
Orlando resident Bob Darrah declined an on camera interview, but told WESH 2 News that George Anthony’s suicide attempt and Cindy Anthony being on some sort of disability raised his concern about the child’s well-being. That’s why he contacted DCF.
“I would have done it for any similar situation,” Darrah said. “I would not waste their time.”
Cindy and George Anthony are the grandparents of Caylee Anthony, whose body was found in Orange County woods not far from their home. Caylee’s mother, Casey Anthony, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death and is scheduled to go on trial in 2010.
Casey Anthony is being held on no bond in Orange County Jail.
The Anthonys’ attorney Brad Conway said the couple is considering its legal options to deal with what it sees as harassment. SOURCE: WESH NEWS ORLANDO FLORIDA 6:07 pm EST November 16, 2009

Nope. But shhh it’s a secret! I work at a community college, part time and a restaurant part time. I will be full time eventually at school. I’m back in classes in January and am excited, but I also have a little dread.

Elljay, I agree with you about George & the reason he doesn’t seem to have much self esteem. Cindy is so obviously a VERY controlling person. IMO, he’s more of a scarecrow than a turky - he’s SCARED of that CROW!
Denise, I had posted the same thing in an earlier thread about Cindy not cleaning Caylee’s mirror. Unfortunately, I always seem to post near the end of a thread and my comments don’t get read. I also posted a comment about putting up a recipe a couple of days ago…not sure if anyone saw that either, lol. Lastly, I waved at Jan from the lower part of our state…don’t think she saw that. I wish I could post during the day, but can’t with the way the boss has computers set up. grrr, lol Is it OK to reference another thread when you’re on a new one? Yes, his post was just before mine and once I posted my hello I went back and it was gone, either he removed it or Express did, but I don’t think they would. So I guess we at least know or hope that he lurks and keeps updated like I do. Wished he would post more often, he always has some interesting insight. :-) Haven’t seen Hytyde either lately. Death row inmates do get visitors. I think they have a limited list of requested people and have to adhere to their prison’s policy about days and times……and no physical contact……exception is attorneys…..Scott Peterson’s family (Mom and Dad) visit him regularly.
