New Casey Anthony Evidence Released Today

FBI lab technicians detected traces of chloroform inside a sports drink and plastic syringe recovered near the scene where the remains of Caylee Marie were found in 2008.
Those details and others are included in the more than 2,100 pages of documents released today by the State Attorney’s Office in the criminal case against Casey Anthony — the 23-year-old accused of killing her daughter last year.
The report from the FBI’s lab shows the Cool Blue-flavored Gatorade drink contained an “unknown liquid.” The bottle also contained a plastic bag labeled “Disposable Syringe Kit” with a plastic syringe inside of the bag.
A report labeled “Summary of results” by Dr. Michael Rickenbach of the FBI indicates chemical tests show the syringe contained chloroform, ethanol and water.
The FBI reports also shows a doll recovered from Casey Anthony’s white 1998 Pontiac Sunfire GT had “faint yellowish stains” on the front and back of its white clothing. Lab tests confirmed slight traces of chloroform residue, according to Rickenbach. Other reports indicate the yellow stains may have been urine.
The documents show photographs of the doll, Gatorade bottle and syringe found at the scene.
Also included in the latest reports are communications between FBI lab technicians and sheriff’s office investigators.
Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Caylee Marie, whose remains were found in woods less than a mile from her family’s east Orange County home.
Authorities ruled her death a homicide but could not determine how she died.
The state is seeking the death penalty against Anthony, who remains in the Orange County Jail.
So far, more than 10,000 pages of documents have been made public.

Most the documents are detailed reports of FBI examinations of evidence (read it). There are also some photos of evidence among the documents (see them).
Additionally, there is the entomology report (read it) on Caylee Anthony’s remains that details bugs identified inside the trash bag found inside the trunk of Casey’s car and what they tell about decomposition.
Also among the documents are Henkel tape product specs along with a list of suppliers (read it) and a document about the day investigators went to the jail to take photos of Casey’s tattoo (read doc | see tattoo photos).

What the defense is worried about, no matter what the Casey defenders say, is the fact that 12 reasonable people will be listening to the evidence. As Floridians, they know and understand what the Sunshine Law is, since they voted for it. they know that the more that is made public, the more nothing can be “swept” under the carpet during or before a trial.
They will make the connection with the cloroform & equipment being found near the poor baby’s body and the searches on how to make it on the Casey’s computer. They will not think “oh, somebody just happened to dump the needle and bottle just where the poor baby’s body was thrown out like trash. No they are smarter than that.
And to the “person” who thinks LE is making money off of this, look to the grandparents when you make that claim. LE are the only people sitting behind the chair representing Caylee. Note that the grandparents sit behind the acussed murderer. Also note the money the defense is planning on making by dragging this out by claiming they do not have the time to work on the case. Oh, I took the case, but I have to teach school, I must have forgot about my other job?

jaquey: I believe you are right. I did not think they would release pictures of Caylee’s remains. I thought Judge Strickland restricted it to only the Defense under strict guidelines. When Maw-Maw asked, I looked at the picture and it looks like maybe it could be a skull with things growing in it. But on second look, it is not a skull.
