Elizabeth Olten Dead: Body Of 9-Year-Old Girl Found After 3 Day Search
KSPR News is reporting that 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten’s body was found, after she had gone missing on Wednesday night.
The search is over for 9-year old Elizabeth Olten. She’s the
Jefferson City -area girl who went missing Wednesday night after she left a friend’s house.

L.E. is finding these children very quickly. Hopefully there will be much evidence so they can convict and punish these pedophiles!! Fingers crossed. These poor little girls. Our children can NO LONGER walk the streets alone, EVER. We may never see them again if they do! AND if they ARE in a group, they must STAY WITH the GROUP!

Parents open your eyes, we live in a very dangerous world! Everyday another of God’s precious gits go missing….usually with a tragic ending. I for one do not leave my child out of my sight! Innocence, wide eyed wonder and independence are no more. 10 feet or 100 you must not let your children out of your sight!
Not attempting to be critical, but we as parents need to step up and provide security and safety to our children! There is no such thing as a SAFE neighborhood!
My thoughts and prayers go out to Elizabeths family. No one should ever have to go through such a horrible ordeal.

If I had a child in this day and age, they would be fitted with a GPS monitor so I knew where they were at all times! That is when they had to be out of my sight!

I am from Jefferson City, MO (just a few miles from where this happened), and I currently live in St. Louis, MO. A 15-year old juvenile is in custody–they have not indicated whether or not it is a boy or a girl. As I understand it and from what I have heard (although it is just a rumor), the child in custody is an older sister of a friend of Elizabeth’s who said (to her younger sister-Elizabeth’s friend) that she would like to know what it felt like to kill someone.
Elizabeth’s family has been in a lot of trouble legally, and her father is currently serving time in prison. This certainly shouldn’t reflect on Elizabeth, but may indicate the type of people she hung around with - as they say–water seeks its own level.

I just read this update. This is just so sad.
2shado and flamingo2 - Sadly, you’re welcome…It’s hard to read the things that are being reported about this case…I was watching one of the news programs yesterday, and they showed the street where Elizabeth disappeared…You could see from her front yard to the neighbor’s house where she was visiting…SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close!
This has been a really depressing week…how paranoid and overly cautious are we going to become as a society? How will we deal with this horrible trend of violence without overreacting? :(

Jennifer MO - I would never think that a 9 year old girl’s playmate would be indicative of her father being in prison when it comes to who she chose to be friends with. Regardless of why this father is incarcerated, it has nothing to do with the fact that a 15 year old girl murdered Elizabeth. Since you are from this area originally, maybe you can point out the flaws in the neighborhood because it looked to be a nice neighborhood from what I saw. Are these felons living all around each other and teaching their children to be murderers and thieves? Just wondering because I just don’t get the purpose of your post.
Sophie, I agree with you! The statement that “water seeks it’s own level” is horrible! A child is NOT responsible for the sins or crimes of their parents! A statement like that sets these disadvantaged youth up for failure!

Unbelievable! Children are exposed to nothing but violence, sex, movies of the same stuff, people being totally evil to each other and that sets the precedent. A psychopath is born just the way they are, like a blueprint, no matter who they are born to, you cannot put a conscience in a mind if it’s not there at birth.
