Breaking News: New Duct Tape Link Discovered in Caylee Anthony Murder Case
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — It’s the duct tape that could strengthen the link between Casey Anthony and her daughter’s body and it was discovered only by Eyewitness News.
Eyewitness News found the same rare type of tape that was found on Caylee’s skull being used by the Anthony family on a Caylee Anthony poster.
You can’t buy the tape from Home Depot. It is industrial-grade duct tape that hasn’t been sold in years.

With the debate over the duct tape evidence intensifying this week, Eyewitness News re-analyzed video that was taken in the months before Caylee’s body was found.
The discovery could make it even more difficult for the defense to argue that Casey didn’t put the tape over Caylee’s mouth. The defense has really been trying to shoot down the duct tape evidence recently.
However, the video taken by Eyewitness News on July 20, 2008 just days after Casey’s arrest and one month after Caylee Anthony disappeared, shows that the duct tape on the Anthonys’ Caylee posters has the same unique markings as the duct tape on the Anthonys’ gas can and the tape found over Caylee’s mouth.
A photo of the duct tape on the Anthonys’ gas can, which is the one Casey is accused of stealing from her parents in June of 2008, shows distinct markings that it’s made by the Henkel Company and shows some of the specifications.
In July of 2008, the Anthonys had set up a command post and put up posters with Caylee’s photo on them. They used what appeared to be the same duct tape with Henkel logo.
Both pieces, which apparently came from the Anthonys’ home, appear to be the same kind of rare duct tape according to page number 3378 in the state’s case file, (read document) that investigators found over Caylee’s mouth when her remains were found in the woods near the Anthonys’ home.
Page number 3378, shows that the FBI says the duct tape found over Caylee’s skull showed the same black oval Henkel logo and the “spec max temp 200 degrees Fahrenheit”
The FBI says it’s an industrial tape that hasn’t been made for YEARS.

thanks Express for your post! Even Scott’s demeanor wasn’t as bad as our KCs! And their “direct evidence” with Scott was that ONE hair on the plyers on the boat and that was really circumstantial. Laci could have left it there any time.

In every case, even misdemeanors defense lawyers move to dismiss! Lack of evidence! I agree that that is there job. Lack of direct evidence…okay…another wording to the usual motion..BUT dismiss due to spoliation of all law enforcement agencies just gets my goat! I guess I should let this go and put it with “consider the source”! But it is stuck in my craw! LOL!
Most attorneys on opposite sides are advasaries by day and comrades by night. They don’t throw barbs at each other.
I commend the LE (all agencies) and the prosecution for not even recognizing what these poor excuses of defense people are saying! I’ve seen many trials and the opposing sides are always respectful of each other EVEN during a really “hot” trial! Oh things fly in trial in the heat of the moment. But even that dreadful prosecution team of the OJ murder trial did not take barbs BEFORE the trial. JMO and I’m sticking to it! LOL

I was reading in one of the FBI reports..dated in Octoner of 08..an agent is stating that they still have the car and that it still smells horrible,,,boy that is some pizza!
I love it when Casey say’s “I loved that child”…that sounds to me like Misty Croslin…when is your own child “THAT” child? It sounds so removed from love to me.

On a very windy day, during hurricane season, George was repairing some things in the yard, and he pre-cut some pieces of duct tape, they were just hanging around. A big gust of wind came out of nowhere, and one blew into the garage & got stuck to the gas can. Another piece blew down the street & around the corner into the woods.

Also the Amber Frye testimony is circumstantial evidence not forensic (relating to the use of science or technology)…

If they follow up on that, then momster can take the stand and own up to all the lies and the clubbing and the reasons for her actions… If not, sticking with the nanny story is just insulting to a jury…

debi-pizza, i can tell you from my own experience stinks. smells like day’ol bread and left over cheese. never once did it smell like a rotting body. the rot from a dead squirrel stuck under the tire smells much worst than rotting pizza. so we are left with rotting pizza or some dead animals. i go for the pizza, i prefer the smell of rotting cheese.
REguardless of who or how many people smelled the decomposing smell from the trunk, Momster had already acknowledge that smell and texted Amy that she believed her dad ran over something. Then texting AMy telling her that she finally got rid of the smell. (Abandoning her car was her why of getting rid of the smell.)

Express…he was a real snake charmer…I live part time in the Bay Area.. and only 25 miles from where they found Laci…I truely believe that Casey’s case is much like his..as Casey had the responsibility to act as a reasonable mother who would care, love, protect, her child. People do not like baby killers.
I was on a special visit about 10 years ago to San Quentin, with my partner who was part of a program called REACH who met with the lifers or THE SQUIRES of San Quentin..Anyway, we were out in the court yard and all of a sudden a guard calls out DEAD MAN WALKING…we had to stop..while Richard Allen Davis was being brought back to his cell…he was in shakles and had a head mask on…we were told that he must be always in a single cell and never have any time with any other inmate because he is a baby KILLER and they would KILL him…he is only allowed out for 30 minutes a day..So what does Florida do with women who commit crimes of murder on children?

It really doesn’t matter what state your in, when you murder an innocent child, you are a target for other inmates….Also, if you are a child molester you too are a target for other inmates… That is why this case is so different then OJ’s case, cause it does involve a 2 year old child…

Finally, something to cheer about. I was so fed up with all the sleazey Baezy garbarge they were tossing out, didn’t want to think or read any more about this case in the past week. I’ve been too consumed by this case, and letting it drag me down. Poor little Caylee. We will hang in there, till the last bit of evidence is presented, and this evil CMA will finally get what she deserves.

The value of wftv finding that footage with a shot of the duct tape is HUGE!!! A picture is in fact worth a 1,000 words. There was a guy who murdered his wife and a cab driver and then called 911 to say he walked in on the guy killing his wife and had to shoot him. Cops called him a hero. For 6 years he went on with life, got married, had kids,, etc… But one cop just had an itch about the case. He found a photo taken of the bodies before they were removed that had been overlooked. Sure enough the photo contradicted his story. Long story short he was tried and convicted on 2 counts of murder. Way to go wftv!! Kudos to these people.
Also it was stated on ng last nite that the documents referred to by brad conway and the rest of these clowns were released out of order and that documents dated after these confirm results of duct tape. These idiots did it again - they see something that looks to be in their favor and run with it instead of looking at the case chronologically. Their inexperience alone is enough to get a conviction. Also, since when has brad conway come out in support of casey? I recall him and other lawyers they have had saying they are just there for G & C and have nothing to do with casey. Personally, some of the comments brad conway has made sound as if he made a slip and he points the finger at casey. We will see a conviction - maybe LWOP rather than the DP, but there will be a conviction. And I also believe casey is foolish enough to want to take the stand. Think about how she bulldozed cops with her lies those first few days and her saying no one will trick her into a confession. She is just stupid enough to think she can handle the prosecutors the same way…..

When I was reading about the duct tape, I noticed it stated Avon Ohio 44011. The family lived in Ohio. Maybe that’s where the tape was purchased; tho I think they moved from there many years ago. ??
From reading the Blink on Crime info, tho it’s a bit difficult to comprehend, I THINK it implied that there must be a FINGERPRINT there, somewhere, for the FBI to state there was no print from George, Cindy or Lee. ??

morning, Im wondering why George went on national tv and said he knew who the kidnappers were and how they are watching them. When he is on the stand , I hope the attorneys ask about this.It makes no sense that he would say this and not go to LE and have them go in with guns ablazing.,to rescue his granddaughter.Once he is on the stand it will not take the attorneys long to destroy all credibility from this man.The same goes for Cindy, They will rip this couple to shreds. They will become the laughing stock of this trial.The jurors are going to see how far they will go using devious means to protect their murdering daughter. and all their lies and behavior will help convict Casey.

Baez and co. proving to public their stupidity. Each of these statements on national tv also gives udge more reasons NOT to move the trial. national tv taints all jury pools. This has been bugging me for months, and I don’t know if anyone has ever posted about it:
Does anyone remember the text message from Casey to either Amy Downing or Amy Huzeinga, requesting to borrow duct tape? I think Casey’s American flag outfit she wore to the Anything but Clothes party is held up by duct tape, circling under her arms; somehow the tape is stuck to the upper edge of the flag, then the flag fabric is folded under so the edge of the duct tape cannot be seen.
What was the date of the party?
When was the text sent?
Is the flag outfit in police custody? The duct tape would certainly still be on it.
Could the unusual brand of Henkel duct tape come from Amy to begin with?
Why would a piece duct tape be put on the gas cans?
If the timeline fits, the tape was in the trunk of the car, borrowed from a friend to hold up the flag outfit for the party.
The gas cans are stolen, they are in the trunk. Casey puts a piece of duck tape (already in the trunk) on top of one of the cans,,,for whatever reason, to get the tape “going” while pulling a length off the roll?
Then, the most dreadful scenario with the tape with Caylee in the trunk.
Where was the roll of tape when Casey was arrested the first time? Didn’t we see it on the shelf in the garage?

To ministiggers: In response to your inquiry regarding the duct tape Amy Huygienza alleged that Casey had stolen from her, this duct tape cannot be possibly related to the duct tape covering Caylee’s mouth and nose since Amy specifically referred to her having recently bought this tape (some time in May 2008) and the manufacturer has indicated that it stopped selling this industrial grade of tape in 2007. As they say: No way, Jose!
