Disturbing Details Released in brutal murder of 4-year-old
Shocking new details that investigators say led to the brutal death of a four year-old Spring girl, were revealed during the probable cause hearing of the girl’s mother and her boyfriend earlier today.
Investigators believe little Emma likely died within 12 to 24 hours after being raped and beaten.
In court Tuesday, Emma’s mother was visibly upset, and seen shaking her head. Her boyfriend, on the other hand, showed little emotion.
“Mr. Coe and miss young, you are both charged with injury to a child,” said the judge.
33 year-old Abigail Young and her 27 year-old boyfriend, Lucas Coe, stood side by side at their first appearance before a judge after being charged in the death of Young’s four-year-old daughter, Emma Thompson.
“The child had approximately 80 contusions, a severe head laceration, some scalp hemorrhaging, a skull fracture, internal bleeding, severe tear and hemorrhaging to the vagina extending from the hymen which was not intact,” a court employee is heard on video.
Other suspects sitting the courtroom is seen cringing listening to the allegations.

Investigators say what caused little Emma to die on June 27th, was blunt force trauma to her abdomen, which led to internal bleeding.
“It was obvious that the child suffered abuse,” said Detective A.J. Kelly of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “The child had oral and vaginal herpes; I can confirm that.”
Abigail young said her daughter fell, but investigators believe Coe used an unknown object to beat Emma.
“We received several conflicting stories leading us to believe something was wrong immediately,” said Kelly.
Young was taken into custody yesterday, still in her scrubs, from a Brenham hospital where she works as a nurse.
Coe was wearing a t-shirt that read “it’s all fun and games until the cops show up” when he was arrested at a relative’s home just outside Magnolia.
“I have nothing to say without my attorney,” Coe told reporters.
In response to the couple’s arrest, Emma’s aunt, Amanda Young Mathews, released this statement today about the little girl:
“She was loved by many people and it was horrible what happened to her. She will always be missed but the memory of her will live on with us forever.”
Abigail Young is being held on a $50,000 bond. Coe, who is currently on probation for a previous charge of injury to another child, is being held without bond. If convicted both could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
Emma’s father, an aunt, and an uncle are planning to speak publicly this Thursday at a candlelight vigil being planned for her.

They have been very helpful to me and pointed me in the right direction. They have been patient with me as I try to get up to speed. It is great that you know the Coe family. You can shed some light on them. I know Abby’s family real well (mother and siblings,
grandparents who are now deceased as well as great grandfather, now deceased).

It will not surprise me if this goes national with CBS. Ch 11 Houston is a CBS affiliate and they got the exclusive interview with Abby and have been “working” with Amanda (Abby’s sister) who provided the beautiful photos of Emma! If that happens, then the other major stations will jump on the band wagon! Then Cindy will try to get one of the majors to give her some air time so she can LIE and tell everybody that she got on the phone when she should have been resting and got all TV staions in Houston and national to cover the Emma Thompson story! LOL! I can’t quit laughing!!!
I hope this man and so called “Mother” never gets put back on the streets. I can’t believe that this little child had stinking herpes and they left her in the home with these freaks. When are the laws going to change for these babies? I make her think she didn’t know what was going on. That is bullcrap.

Luke Coe and I went to high school together at Magnolia High School. He WAS a friend of mine. I’m just now hearing of this news because I’ve sinced moved from that area and I just can NOT believe this has happened. He was always a questionable character I guess, looking back, but very friendly and fun. That is so sickening to me, I have officially taken all of my trust for everyone and thrown it out the door. You just don’t know people anymore!!! I hope he gets what he deserves. Poor, Poor little angel!!!
D, thanks for giving us your perspective. Since you haven’t communicated in 10 yrs., he has probably evolved into this since you knew him. Possibly drugs & alcohol have played a factor, too. Don’t give up on trusting though. Some go by the saying Trust but verify.
D, people change as the years go by. These 2 will get what they deserve. Trust your instincts and don’t lose your faith in humanity because of one really bad guy like this.
